Frequently Asked Questions - FAQ
Material & Quality
585 gold is a gold alloy with a pure gold content of 58.5% — hence the stamp "585". The remaining 41.5% consists of additives such as silver, copper, or palladium, which give the alloy hardness, color, and everyday durability. Pure gold (999) would be too soft to wear as jewelry. In German-speaking countries, 585 gold is considered the ideal compromise between value retention, color depth, and robustness. In our Italian gold jewelry collection, we work exclusively with 585 solid gold — not gold-plated, not plated.
585 gold contains 58.5% pure gold, 750 gold contains 75%. Visually, 750 is somewhat more intense and warmer in color, but at the same time softer and more prone to scratches. 585 gold is significantly more durable for everyday use and retains its shine for years — the reason why it is the most common alloy for high-quality everyday jewelry in the DACH region. 750 gold is typically chosen for special occasions or wedding rings. Both are genuine gold alloys with guaranteed value. Splendido deliberately offers 585 gold — the right choice for jewelry worn daily.
Yes, 585 gold is real gold. The designation "585" refers to the pure gold content of 58.5% according to Austrian and German hallmarking laws. Each of our jewelry pieces is marked with the corresponding hallmark (585), which certifies its authenticity. Unlike gold-plated jewelry (a thin layer of gold on another metal) or gold vermeil (a gold layer on silver), 585 gold is solid, continuous precious metal. Even after years, the gold core remains unchanged — it cannot peel or wear off.
925 silver, also known as sterling silver, is a silver alloy containing 92.5% pure silver and 7.5% other metals (mostly copper). Pure silver (999) would be too soft for jewelry making. The alloy gives 925 silver the necessary strength without compromising its characteristic shine and high-quality appearance. It is the international standard for high-quality silver jewelry. All pieces in our silver jewelry collection are made of 925 sterling silver and are accordingly hallmarked.
The hallmark is a small, legally required stamp on the jewelry piece that certifies the precious metal content. "585" stands for 58.5% gold content (14 karat), "750" for 75% (18 karat), and "925" for 92.5% silver content (sterling silver). In Austria and Germany, hallmarking is mandatory for all genuine precious metal jewelry. It is usually found inside the ring, on the clasp of a necklace, or on the back of a pendant. At Splendido, all pieces bear the correct Austrian hallmark — a guarantee of authenticity that has been leaving our workshop since 1991.
585 gold is generally very well tolerated, as the gold content is high and the amount of potentially allergenic metals is limited. The main cause of jewelry allergies is usually nickel — a metal commonly used in inexpensive fashion jewelry. Our 585 gold alloys are low in nickel or nickel-free and comply with the EU nickel regulation. Our 925 silver jewelry is also made according to EU guidelines. Those with very sensitive skin should also avoid contact with perfume, creams, and sweat while wearing jewelry.
White gold and silver look similar at first glance but are fundamentally different. White gold is a gold alloy in which white metals (palladium, silver) are added to gold — it is real gold with a whitish color. Silver is a separate precious metal. White gold is significantly more expensive and valuable than silver, harder, and more durable. Silver, on the other hand, tarnishes over time and requires regular care. Visually, a jeweler can immediately distinguish the two by their shine and weight. At Splendido, you can recognize white gold by the hallmark 585 or 750, and silver by 925.
Bicolor jewelry combines two different gold colors — usually yellow gold and white gold — in a single piece. The result is a modern, versatile look that can be paired with both silver and gold-toned jewelry. Bicolor pieces are ideal if you don’t want to switch between different jewelry tones every day. The craftsmanship is demanding, as two alloys must be precisely joined together. Our Italian goldsmiths have mastered this technique for generations. Discover selected bicolor pieces in our entire collection.
For jewelry you wear daily, we clearly recommend 585 gold. The reason: 585 gold is significantly harder and more resistant to scratches, impacts, and everyday wear due to its alloy compared to the softer 750 gold. Over the years, a 585 ring or 585 chain retains its shape and surface better. 750 gold is more suitable for occasion jewelry or wedding rings that are less mechanically stressed. For this reason, at Splendido, we have chosen 585 gold—all our gold chains, gold rings, and gold bracelets are made from this durable alloy.
Care & Cleaning
Clean gold jewelry gently with lukewarm water, a little mild soapy water (e.g., dish soap), and a soft toothbrush. Soak the piece for 5–10 minutes, gently brush along the crevices, and rinse with clear water. Dry with a lint-free cloth. For heavily soiled or delicate pieces, a professional ultrasonic bath at the jeweler is recommended. Avoid aggressive cleaners, bleach, or toothpaste — these can damage the surface. For our 585 gold jewelry collection, this routine is sufficient every 4–6 weeks.
Tarnished silver can be effectively cleaned with simple household remedies. The gentlest method: place the silver piece in a bowl lined with aluminum foil, add 1 tablespoon of baking soda and hot water. After 5–10 minutes, the black patina usually disappears. Alternatively, a silver polishing cloth (available at jewelry stores) works very well. Avoid harsh brushes or cleaning pastes that leave microscopic scratches. For heavily tarnished or stone-set pieces, we recommend professional cleaning. By regularly caring for your silver jewelry, it will remain shiny for years.
The three most effective home remedies: First, baking soda + aluminum foil + hot water (chemical reaction removes the sulfide layer). Second, a mixture of baking powder and water into a paste — gently rub in with fingers or a soft cloth. Third, citric acid (1 teaspoon in 1 glass of warm water), in which the piece soaks for 5 minutes. Important: do not use hard brushes, do not immerse silver with gemstones or pearls in acidic solutions. After each cleaning, rinse thoroughly and dry. These methods are affordable, safe, and have been tested for generations.
Silver tarnishes when it reacts with sulfur compounds from the air, sweat, or certain cosmetics. You can prevent this in four ways: First, store silver airtight—preferably in a small zip bag or the original jewelry box with tarnish protection. Second, wear silver regularly—skin contact slows down tarnishing. Third, protect it from contact with perfume, hairspray, and creams. Fourth, occasionally polish it with a soft cloth. With this routine, your silver jewelry will stay shiny for many years.
We recommend removing jewelry before showering, bathing, or swimming. Although 585 gold and 925 silver are water-resistant, soaps, shampoos, chlorine, and saltwater can damage the surface, loosen stone settings, and cause a dull shine over time. Silver, in particular, tarnishes faster due to sweat and water contact. If you do wear jewelry while showering, rinse it with clear water afterward and dry it thoroughly. For worry-free daily wear: put on jewelry last thing in the morning and take it off first thing in the evening.
925 silver itself is waterproof — the metal does not corrode when in contact with water. However, frequent contact with water combined with soap, salt, or chlorine can cause faster tarnishing and a dull shine. Loose stone settings can also be weakened by repeated exposure to moisture. Short-term water contact (e.g., hand washing) is harmless. We advise against wearing it in swimming pools, the sea, or in the shower. Those who do not want to give up jewelry even in summer should choose simple pieces without delicate settings or gemstones for the beach and pool.
Optimal storage is in a dry, dark jewelry box with a soft lining. Store pieces individually—either in separate compartments or small fabric pouches—to prevent scratches from rubbing together. Silver benefits from an airtight container (zip bag) to reduce tarnishing caused by air exposure. Chains should be hung up to avoid tangling. Avoid bathrooms and windowsills (high humidity, UV light). At Splendido, you receive a protective jewelry box with every order as a storage solution.
We recommend putting on jewelry last — after perfume, body lotion, sunscreen, or hairspray. These products contain alcohols, oils, and acids that permanently dull precious metals, glue stone settings, and especially cause silver to tarnish faster. If there is direct contact, wipe the piece with a soft cloth. A small routine that makes a big difference: first care, then perfume, then jewelry. This way, the shine and setting of your gold jewelry are preserved for the long term.
Ultrasonic cleaning is very effective for most 585 gold pieces without delicate stones. However, caution is advised with: pearls, emeralds, opals, turquoise (porous or set — can be damaged), loosely set stones (diamonds in loose prong settings), and engraved or lacquered pieces. Pure gold chains, simple gold rings, and unset jewelry generally respond without issues. When in doubt, have the cleaning done by a jeweler who can check the type of stone and choose the right method. Splendido offers this service for our customers in Graz.
A wedding ring is worn daily — and this constant use is exactly why it requires special care. Three basic rules: First, remove it when showering, exercising, cleaning, and swimming (chlorine and cleaning agents are the main causes of dullness). Second, clean it every 4–6 weeks with lukewarm soapy water and a soft brush. Third, have it professionally polished and checked for stones once a year by a jeweler. Our Italian goldsmiths can also work out minor scratches and visually renew your wedding ring. This way, 585 gold remains a piece full of memories and shine even after 10, 20, or 30 years.
Sizes & Measurements
There are two simple methods. Method 1 (paper strip): Cut a 1 cm wide strip of paper, wrap it around the base of your finger, mark where the paper overlaps, and measure the length in millimeters. This number corresponds to the inner circumference in mm = EU ring size. Method 2 (existing ring): Measure the inner diameter of a suitable ring with a ruler and compare it with our size chart. It is best to measure in the evening, as fingers are thinner in the morning. When in doubt: choose the next larger size.
The EU ring size corresponds to the inner circumference of the ring in millimeters. For example, a ring with a 54 mm inner circumference is size 54. The most common sizes for women range between 49 and 58, and for men between 56 and 66. The most accurate method to determine size is measuring an already fitting ring on the desired finger or visiting a jeweler with ring size templates. Pay attention to the finger: not every finger is the same size — the ring finger of the dominant hand is usually slightly thicker than that of the non-dominant hand.
Three discreet methods: First, borrow a ring the person already wears (e.g., a fashion ring from the nightstand) and measure the inner diameter with a ruler — multiply this number by 3.14 to get the inner circumference (EU size). Second, carefully place a ring on paper at night and trace the inner circle. Third, ask a trusted third person (sister, friend). Important: Which finger is to be adorned? The middle finger is usually ½–1 size larger than the ring finger. When in doubt: choose the next larger size — it is easier to make a ring smaller than larger.
The ideal chain length depends on the desired fit and neckline. The most common lengths for women:
- 38–42 cm (Choker): fits snugly around the neck, suitable for off-shoulder outfits - 45 cm (Classic): rests on the collarbone, versatile to combine - 50 cm (Standard): just below the collarbone, ideal for pendants - 55–60 cm (Matinée): falls on the chest area, beautiful with V-necklines - 70 cm+ (Opera): long chain, can be worn doubled
For a first high-quality piece of jewelry, we recommend 45 or 50 cm — the two most versatile standard lengths. Our gold chains are available in all common lengths.
In the DACH region, established standard lengths for women's necklaces are 38, 40, 42, 45, 50, 55, 60, and 70 cm. 45 cm is the best-selling standard length — it falls just below the collarbone and can be combined with almost any neckline. 50 cm is optimal for pendants. 38–42 cm are choker or collar lengths. At Splendido, we offer the common lengths for each model. Some necklaces can also be flexibly adjusted with an extension chain (3–5 cm).
The standard size for women's bracelets is 17–19 cm in length. To determine your own size, measure the circumference of your wrist with a tape measure just above the wrist bone — add 1–2 cm for a loose fit or 0.5 cm for a tighter fit. Example: 16 cm wrist + 1.5 cm allowance = 17.5 cm bracelet length. Tennis bracelets are usually worn tighter (16.5–17.5 cm), anchor bracelets a bit looser (18–19 cm). Many of our bracelets have adjustable lengths in 1–2 cm increments via the clasp.
The EU ring size corresponds directly to the inner circumference in millimeters (e.g., inner circumference 54 mm = EU size 54). For conversion to other systems:
- US size: EU 52 ≈ US 6, EU 54 ≈ US 6¾, EU 56 ≈ US 7½ - UK size: EU 52 ≈ UK L, EU 54 ≈ UK N, EU 56 ≈ UK O½ - Japanese size: EU 52 ≈ 12, EU 54 ≈ 14, EU 56 ≈ 16
Since these systems cannot be converted linearly, we recommend measuring the inner circumference in mm directly and comparing it with our EU scale when ordering from abroad.
A very personal question — yet basic rules can be named. For women over 40 with a classic style, we recommend necklace lengths between 45 and 55 cm. The 45 cm necklace sits at the collarbone and flatters both rounder and more delicate facial features. 50–55 cm lengths place a pendant over the décolleté and have a lengthening effect — ideal with classic blouses or knit dresses. Those who want to visually lengthen a short neck choose 55+ cm; those who want to emphasize a longer neck choose a 42–45 cm necklace. A delicate 45 cm gold chain from our Italian collection is one of the most versatile pieces of jewelry overall.
Very long chains often feel overwhelming on smaller women. We recommend lengths between 40 and 50 cm — these highlight the neck and collarbone without disrupting proportions. 42–45 cm is the ideal all-round length, sitting just below the collarbone and harmonizing with almost all necklines. A 50 cm chain with a delicate pendant visually elongates and looks elegant with V-necklines. Avoid very long chains (70+ cm), which can quickly appear disproportionate. Delicate pendants are preferable to large statement pieces.
Order & Payment
In our online shop, you can pay securely and flexibly using the following payment methods: credit card (Visa, Mastercard, American Express), PayPal, Klarna (instant transfer, purchase on account, installment purchase), Apple Pay, and Google Pay. All payments are processed over SSL-encrypted connections. For business customers, we also offer advance payment by bank transfer with a VAT number indicated on the invoice upon request. If you have any questions about a specific payment method, you can reach us by email at info@splendido.at or via WhatsApp.
Klarna invoice purchase allows you to receive your order first and pay only after 14 or 30 days. Here’s how it works: At checkout, select “Klarna — Pay by invoice.” Klarna performs a quick credit check (no Schufa entry if approved). After confirmation, you complete the order, and we ship the jewelry. You will then receive an invoice from Klarna by email with payment instructions and deadline. Payment is made directly to Klarna, not to Splendido. This is an ideal option if you want to examine the piece calmly before paying.
Yes, we offer Klarna installment payments for higher-value jewelry pieces. You can pay for your order flexibly in 3, 6, 12, or up to 24 monthly installments. The exact terms (interest, duration) will be shown to you directly by Klarna during checkout. The installment option appears when the order value exceeds a minimum amount (usually from €99). Klarna conducts a credit check. After approval, the order is shipped, and the installments are automatically collected monthly. You can repay early at any time without extra charges.
Yes, PayPal is one of our most popular payment methods. At checkout, select "PayPal," you will be redirected to the PayPal site and confirm with your login. The payment is processed immediately, and your order is promptly handled. PayPal offers additional buyer protection — if there are issues with the order, you can use PayPal's dispute resolution. Refunds via PayPal are also very fast (1–3 business days after return confirmation). We accept both PayPal with balance and PayPal linked to a bank account or credit card.
Splendido gift vouchers are digital and contain a 16-digit redemption code. Here's how to redeem them: Choose your jewelry and proceed to checkout. In the "Payment" step, enter the voucher code in the "Voucher or discount code" field and click "Apply." The voucher amount will be deducted from the total. If the order value exceeds the voucher amount, you pay the difference using one of the available payment methods. If it is lower, the remaining balance stays on the voucher for a future order. Vouchers are valid for 3 years.
Yes, automatically. With every order, you will receive a proper invoice by email showing the Austrian VAT (20%) as well as our VAT number ATU80669028. The invoice meets all requirements of Austrian and German tax law and can be used for both private and business purposes. For deliveries to Germany or the Netherlands, the tax is handled according to EU distance selling rules. If you need a special billing address (e.g., company address different from the delivery address), please provide it during the ordering process under "Billing Address."
Yes. When placing your order, please enter your company name in the "Company Name" field and your VAT ID number in the "VAT ID Number" field (or in the notes field). We will automatically issue an invoice with your VAT ID, our VAT ID (ATU80669028), and the correct reverse charge accounting (for intra-community deliveries). This invoice meets all requirements for input tax deduction. For intra-community B2B transactions within the EU, we verify your VAT ID against the MIAS register; if it is valid, the delivery will be made at the net price. If you have any doubts, please contact us by email at info@splendido.at before placing your order.
Shipping & Delivery
Within Austria, we usually deliver within 2–5 business days from the order date. Orders placed on weekdays before 2 p.m. are typically packed and dispatched the same day. The exact delivery time depends on the courier service and your location — we reach major cities faster than remote areas. You will automatically receive a tracking number by email as soon as your order leaves the warehouse. Express shipping is available upon request. For urgent occasions, please contact us before ordering at info@splendido.at — we will find a solution.
Deliveries to Germany usually take 2–5 business days after the order is received. We ship via reliable carriers (DHL, Austrian Post International) with tracking. Major cities and metropolitan areas are typically reached within 2–3 business days after dispatch, while rural areas may take 4–5 business days. Customs clearance is not required, as Austria and Germany are part of the EU single market — no additional fees, no waiting time. You will automatically receive a tracking email as soon as your order leaves the warehouse.
Orders to the Netherlands usually arrive within 2–5 business days from the order date. We use international EU shipping with full tracking. As with deliveries to Germany, there are no customs fees since the Netherlands is part of the EU single market. You will receive a tracking number via email. For orders with gift wrapping, the delivery time may be extended by up to one business day, as the packaging is done individually.
Yes, express shipping is available upon request. We especially recommend it for time-sensitive gifts (birthdays, anniversaries, jubilees). Express shipping reduces delivery time within Austria to 1 business day, and to Germany and the Netherlands to 1–2 business days. Please contact us before or immediately after placing your order at info@splendido.at or via WhatsApp (+43 681 20808264) — we will confirm availability and inform you of the express shipping costs. Orders must be placed on weekdays before 12 PM to be shipped the same day.
Yes, every order is shipped fully insured. The insurance covers loss, damage, and theft until delivery to you. Should anything happen during shipping despite all precautions, we will replace the order or refund the full purchase price — you bear no risk. For this reason, we always ship with tracking and personal delivery (signature required). For more valuable orders (over €500), we also offer direct delivery to the recipient upon request. This security is included in every shipping price.
Each piece of jewelry leaves our workshop in a high-quality jewelry box, wrapped in silk paper and cushioned in a sturdy shipping carton. The box also serves as a long-term storage solution — we use soft, anti-static lining that protects precious metals from scratches. The outer packaging is discreet (no brand imprint), so surprise gifts can be delivered unnoticed. Upon request, we add a free gift wrapping with a handwritten card — simply provide your message in the note field during checkout.
Yes. During the ordering process, you can enter a different address under "Delivery Address" than your billing address — perfect for gifts that should be sent directly to the recipient. Upon request, we include a personal greeting card with a handwritten message (note field during the order). The price is not visible on the packaging; you will receive the invoice separately by email. This way, the gift remains a surprise. For deliveries abroad (DE, NL), the tax treatment remains the same regardless of the delivery address.
Returns & Warranty
According to EU consumer law, you have a statutory right of withdrawal of 14 days from receipt of the goods. Splendido additionally offers you a voluntary extended 30-day return policy from the delivery date. You can return the jewelry within these 30 days without giving any reason, provided the item is unused, undamaged, and in its original packaging. Please send us a brief email at info@splendido.at before returning the item — we will confirm the return and send you the instructions. After receiving and inspecting the goods, we will refund the purchase amount within 5–7 business days.
Yes. Beyond the legally mandated 14-day right of withdrawal, we offer you a voluntary 30-day return policy from the delivery date. This extended period gives you the opportunity to carefully examine the jewelry, compare it, or test it as a surprise gift. Condition: The item must be unused, undamaged, and in the original packaging with all tags. Personalized items (engravings, custom orders) are excluded. Just write to us at info@splendido.at — we will take care of the rest.
Unfortunately not. Personalized jewelry — especially engravings, special sizes, or custom orders — is excluded from the right of return, as it is made specifically for you and cannot be resold. This corresponds to §18 para. 1 no. 3 of the Austrian Distance and Off-Premises Contracts Act (FAGG). Therefore, we kindly ask you to carefully check measurements, engraving text, and special requests before completing your order. If in doubt, please contact us before placing your order. If the engraved piece does indeed have a material or workmanship defect, our 24-month warranty naturally applies.
If a ring does not fit, there are two options: 1) Return within 30 days and reorder in the correct size — this is usually the fastest solution, as we have the most common sizes in stock. 2) Size adjustment — for many of our 585 gold rings, an adjustment of 1–2 sizes is possible by our goldsmith (price depending on effort €30–80, within 1–2 weeks). Please contact us at info@splendido.at and specify the desired new size. For rings with settings or continuous decoration, adjustment is sometimes not possible — in this case, return and reorder is the better option.
Return shipping costs are generally borne by the customer, unless there is a complaint or faulty delivery. We recommend using insured and trackable shipping for returns — this is strongly advised for jewelry valued over €100, as you remain responsible for the value until we confirm receipt. In the case of a justified complaint (defective item, incorrect delivery, manufacturing defect within the warranty period), we cover the full return shipping costs. In such cases, we will send you a prepaid return label by email. Please contact us at info@splendido.at.
We offer a 24-month warranty on each of our jewelry pieces from the date of purchase against material and workmanship defects. This warranty goes beyond the statutory warranty and reflects our confidence in the quality of our Italian workshop. Splendido e.U. has been operating in Graz since 1991 — all pieces are made from 585 gold or 925 sterling silver and comply with Austrian hallmarking regulations. Please keep the receipt as proof of warranty. In case of warranty claims, simply contact us at info@splendido.at, and we will take care of the solution hassle-free.
The 24-month warranty covers material and workmanship defects. Specifically: breakage of clasps, loose or missing stone settings under normal use, faulty hallmarking, premature discoloration with proper care. Not covered are: damage from improper handling (falls, pressure, chemicals), normal wear and tear (micro-scratches, surface mattifying from wearing), loss or theft. In case of warranty, we will repair or replace the item free of charge. Please send us photos and a brief description of the issue to info@splendido.at — we will provide individual advice.
If your jewelry arrives with a defect — for example, damaged during shipping, a faulty clasp, or similar — please contact us within 14 days of receipt. Send an email to info@splendido.at with your order number and 2–3 photos of the damage. We will review the case within 1–2 business days and offer you an immediate solution: free repair, replacement, or full refund. We cover the return shipping costs in such cases entirely. Insured shipping from our workshop ensures that such incidents are a rare exception — we handle each case with care.
Gift & Occasion
For Mother's Day, jewelry that expresses warmth and personal connection is fitting. Our recommendations from the Italian collection: a delicate 585 gold necklace with a pendant (e.g., heart, stone, or initial) — the most versatile gift for any style; a subtle bracelet that can be worn daily; classic gold stud earrings with diamond or zirconia. Avoid oversized statement pieces if you are unsure — delicate, classic pieces are almost always the safer choice. Browse our entire collection, filtered by occasion suitability.
Women over 40 appreciate jewelry with character, quality, and timeless elegance—unlike the trend pieces of their 20s. Proven gift ideas: a solid 585 gold chain in 45–50 cm (versatile and a classic for decades); a subtle gold ring with a brilliant or gemstone; medium-sized gold earrings—neither too flashy nor too understated. Pay attention to high-quality materials (solid gold instead of gold-plated) and a style that suits the personality. Our Italian gold jewelry collection is specially designed for discerning, classically elegant women.
Classic and always right: an engagement ring with a diamond in 585 gold or white gold. The most popular stone sizes range between 0.2 and 0.5 carats in a solitaire setting. For those who prefer something less traditional, a ring with a small colored gemstone (sapphire, emerald, ruby) is a choice — a tradition made famous by European royal families. Important: discreetly find out the correct ring size in advance (see question 22). Our gold rings with diamonds offer various setting styles — from the classic solitaire to the modern trilogy ring.
For the bride: a delicate gold necklace with a fine pendant (she will wear it under the wedding dress, so light and subtle), elegant diamond stud earrings (suitable for any dress style), or a delicate bracelet. For the bridesmaids: matching jewelry styles as a symbol of connection — for example, delicate gold bracelets with identical pendants. For the mothers of the bride and groom: high-quality gold earrings or a classic gold necklace. Avoid pieces that are too flashy and compete with the bridal jewelry. For orders for multiple people, please contact us — we will coordinate the shipping date for you.
For baptismal children, small, sturdy, and non-toxic jewelry made of 585 gold or 925 sterling silver is traditionally the right choice. Popular gifts include a delicate gold chain with a cross, angel, or heart pendant; a small gold bracelet or charm bracelet (which can be expanded later); a silver baptism ring engraved with the date. Pay attention to secure clasps and nickel-free materials. Many families choose jewelry with engraving (name, baptism date) — keep in mind that engraved pieces are non-returnable. Our pendant selection includes classic baptism motifs.
For confirmation or confirmation ceremonies, jewelry with symbolic value is a beautiful tradition. Classics include a 585 gold cross or a small Madonna on a delicate gold chain; a ring with a birthstone or a personal symbol; a bracelet that can be worn into adulthood. Choose a piece that is age-appropriate yet mature enough to still be cherished in 5 or 10 years. Solid 585 gold pieces grow with you for a lifetime. A personal engraving (initials, date) makes the gift special — please note that engraved items are non-returnable.
Valentine's Day stands for romantic gestures — jewelry with symbolic meaning sets the tone. Our recommendations: a heart pendant on a fine gold chain (classic); a diamond bracelet or tennis bracelet (timeless and feminine); a ring with a small gemstone (more subtle than an engagement ring, but meaningful); earrings with diamonds or gemstones. For a more personal touch, choose a piece engraved with initials or a special date. Important: order in time — Valentine's Day is a peak season, and deliveries may become tighter. Our gold chains with diamonds are especially popular.
Anniversaries deserve jewelry with substance and meaning. Traditional material associations: 25 years (silver anniversary) — high-quality sterling silver jewelry; 30 years (pearl anniversary) — jewelry with pearls; 40 years (ruby anniversary) — jewelry with rubies; 50 years (gold anniversary) — gold jewelry, preferably in 585 or 750. For a 25th anniversary, we recommend a high-quality 925 sterling silver piece with a diamond or gemstone accent — it remains beautifully memorable. Engraving the anniversary date makes the piece unforgettable.
In a business-casual context, the golden rule is: delicate, subtle, high-quality. Recommendations: a 585 gold necklace, 45 cm long, with a small pendant (sits under the shirt collar, visible but not distracting); delicate gold stud earrings or small hoops (max. 1.5 cm diameter); a simple gold ring (band ring or small solitaire) — avoid overly flashy statement jewelry. A delicate gold bracelet or charm bracelet perfectly complements the office look. Important: avoid style clashes — wear a maximum of 2–3 pieces of jewelry at the same time. Our Italian gold jewelry collection was specially curated for sophisticated everyday and office styles.
Everyday jewelry must meet three criteria: high quality (to ensure daily comfort), durability (no quick tarnishing or damage), and timelessness (suitable for all outfits and occasions). 585 solid gold meets all these requirements — unlike gold-plated pieces or fashion jewelry. Our recommendation for a "daily jewelry set" for working women over 40: a 585 gold chain at 45 cm + delicate gold stud earrings + a classic gold ring + a subtle bracelet. These four pieces from our Splendido collection accompany you from the office through appointments to dinner — without ever seeming out of place. Italian goldsmith craftsmanship since 1991.
