§ 1 Scope
These General Terms and Conditions apply to all orders placed through our online shop at www.splendido.at. All company information can be viewed on our legal notice page.
For the purposes of these General Terms and Conditions, a consumer is any natural person who enters into a legal transaction for purposes that cannot predominantly be attributed to their commercial or self-employed professional activity.
The following General Terms and Conditions govern the contractual relationship between Splendido e.U. and the customer in the version valid at the time of the order. The customer’s deviating terms and conditions shall not be accepted unless Splendido e.U. has expressly agreed to their validity in writing.
These General Terms and Conditions can be viewed on our website at any time and may be printed or saved by you. We reserve the right to amend these General Terms and Conditions at any time. All amendments shall take effect upon publication on our website. The version of the General Terms and Conditions valid at the time of the order shall apply to each concluded purchase contract.
The contractual language is German. In the event of discrepancies between the German version and a translation, only the German version shall be legally binding. Automatic translations are for information purposes only and do not establish any legal claims.
§ 2 Conclusion of the contract

The presentation of products in the online shop is for visual illustration only and does not constitute a legally binding offer. The contract is concluded only upon our express order confirmation by email or upon delivery of the goods. The automatic confirmation of receipt after the order is completed does not yet constitute acceptance of the offer.
We do not verify the accuracy of the information you provide and therefore assume no liability for any errors in the customer’s details.
We do not accept orders where the specified delivery address belongs to a company or person offering freight forwarding services. If we inadvertently accept such an order, we reserve the right to cancel it after notifying you by email.
The ordering process is as follows:
- Add the desired product to the shopping cart (“Add to cart” button)
- Review and adjust your shopping cart if necessary
- Proceed to checkout using the “Checkout” button
- Enter personal details, delivery address, and preferred payment method
- Submit a binding order by clicking the “Pay now” button
The purchase contract is concluded as soon as we accept your order by sending an order confirmation by email or dispatch the goods. If you have a customer account, you can view your order details there at any time.
§ 3 Prices
All prices stated on the product pages include statutory value-added tax and are in euros (€). We reserve the right to change prices at any time. Only the price displayed at the time the order is placed is binding.
Shipping costs are stated in § 5 of these General Terms and Conditions as well as on the product pages, in the shopping cart, and on the order page. Before the order is completed, the total price including all applicable costs is displayed.
International orders may incur exchange-rate fees, which are to be borne by the customer.
The presentation of goods in our online shop does not constitute a binding offer (see § 2). If a price or product description is based on an obvious error—for example, a typographical, transmission, or system error—we are entitled not to accept the order or to contest the contract in accordance with the statutory provisions (§ 871 ABGB). In this case, we will inform you without delay and promptly refund any payments already made in full; you will incur no further costs as a result. An obvious error exists in particular when the stated price is grossly disproportionate to the value of the goods.
§ 4 Delivery and Delivery Terms
Splendido e.U. currently delivers exclusively to delivery addresses within the following countries:
- Austria (AT)
- Germany (DE)
- Netherlands (NL)
- Belgium (BE)
An extension of the delivery area to additional EU countries is in preparation. Orders from other countries can be registered via our waiting list to receive priority information when we launch in your country.
The delivery time from dispatch is generally 1–2 business days within Austria; to Germany, the Netherlands, and Belgium, 3–5 business days with UPS Standard or 1–2 business days with UPS Express, unless otherwise stated on the respective product page.
Orders received from Monday to Friday before 12:00 p.m. will be dispatched no later than the second following business day, provided that this day is not a public holiday.
If not all ordered products are in stock, we are entitled to make partial deliveries insofar as this is reasonable for the customer. Additional shipping costs for partial deliveries will only be charged by express agreement.
If the customer refuses to accept the goods or fails to collect the shipment within the storage period set by the delivery service, the customer is in default of acceptance. The actual additional costs incurred as a result (in particular return shipping and redelivery costs) shall be borne by the customer; we are entitled to deduct these from any refund. If the returned goods or their case/packaging show damage exceeding what is necessary for mere inspection, we reserve the right to claim reasonable compensation for the reduction in value in accordance with § 16 FAGG. This does not apply if the customer has effectively withdrawn from the contract.
If an ordered product is permanently unavailable because our suppliers fail to supply us through no fault of our own, we may withdraw from the contract. In this case, we will inform the customer without undue delay and, where appropriate, suggest a comparable product. If the customer declines, the purchase amount will be refunded in full.
Transfer of Risk: For shipments to consumers, the risk of accidental loss or accidental damage to the goods passes to you only upon delivery to you or to a person designated by you who is different from the carrier (§ 7b KSchG). If a shipment is lost or damaged in transit, we bear the risk: we will resend it free of charge or refund the full purchase price.
Unless a different delivery period is specified or agreed, we will deliver without undue delay, and no later than 30 days after the conclusion of the contract.
§ 5 Shipping Costs
Splendido e.U. offers free shipping for all orders to the following countries, regardless of the order value:
- Austria (AT): free shipping
- Germany (DE): free shipping
- Netherlands (NL): free shipping
- Belgium (BE): free shipping
For deliveries to Germany, the Netherlands, and Belgium, we optionally offer UPS Express for an additional charge of € 19.99 (delivery time: 1–2 business days).
Shipping costs are displayed on the product pages, in the shopping cart, and on the order page before the order is completed.
For cross-border deliveries, additional taxes (e.g., as part of an intra-Community acquisition) and/or customs duties may apply in individual cases and must be borne by the customer.
Splendido e.U. covers the cost of returns (free return shipping; see § 6).
§ 6 Returns & Right of Withdrawal
All items are carefully inspected, checked, and documented before dispatch to ensure that they meet our quality standards.
Voluntary 30-Day Right of Return
As a special service, we grant our customers a voluntary 30-day right of return from receipt of the goods — this exceeds the statutory minimum period of 14 days and constitutes a voluntary service provided by Splendido e.U.
To exercise your right of withdrawal, please inform us by means of a clear statement (e.g. by email) of your decision to withdraw from the contract. We recommend using the withdrawal form by email at: widerruf@splendido.at
Return Conditions – Please Read Carefully
You have the right to inspect the item, just as you would be able to in a retail store (e.g. briefly trying it on in front of a mirror). Inspection is possible without removing the security seal or label.
Each piece of jewellery is delivered with a security seal (label) indicating its original condition.
Full refund (100%): If the item is returned with the security seal intact, in its original condition and original packaging, we will refund the full purchase price. The statutory period is 14 days from receipt of your withdrawal notice (§ 13 FAGG); as a rule, we issue the refund within 7 business days of receiving your return.
Compensation for signs of use: If the security seal is removed or the item shows signs of use beyond a mere inspection (e.g. signs of wear, scratches, traces of cosmetics, perfume or skin contact, stretched chains), we reserve the right to deduct reasonable compensation for the resulting loss in value from the refund. If the item can no longer be sold as new, this compensation may amount to the full value of the goods (§ 16 FAGG).
Free return shipping is a service offered to support a genuine purchasing decision—not the temporary use (“rental”) of jewellery. We ask that you treat this service fairly.
Return Shipping Costs
Returns are free of charge for you. Splendido e.U. covers the return costs. After receiving your withdrawal notice, we will provide you with a free return label by email. If this is not possible, we will reimburse the return shipping costs.
Customer Responsibility
The customer is responsible for returning the goods and for any loss in value resulting from use that goes beyond merely inspecting their condition, characteristics, and functionality.
Effectiveness of the Withdrawal
Your withdrawal is effective as soon as you declare it. We will issue the refund as soon as the goods have been received by us or you have provided us with proof of dispatch (§ 13 para. 2 FAGG).
We reserve the right to deduct a reasonable amount from the refund if damaged jewellery or damaged packaging is returned.
Exceptions to the right of withdrawal: There is no right of withdrawal for contracts concerning goods made to the customer's specifications or clearly tailored to their personal needs (§ 18 para. 1 no. 3 FAGG). For us, this concerns custom-made and made-to-measure items — such as rings specially made for you in your size. We will inform you separately that the right of withdrawal does not apply before you place your order.
§ 7 Payment
Payment may be made in advance by bank transfer. We also offer the following payment methods: PayPal, credit card (Visa, Mastercard, American Express), Apple Pay, Google Pay, EPS, Klarna instant bank transfer, and USDC stablecoin.
We reserve the right to cancel orders placed using suspicious or questionable payment methods. In such cases, we will contact the customer immediately to clarify the situation and, if necessary, agree on an alternative payment method.
When using alternative payment methods that do not involve a direct bank transfer, the privacy policies of the respective payment providers apply to the collection, storage, and processing of personal data.
Payment in advance by bank transfer: After receiving your order, we will provide you with our bank details. The goods will be delivered after payment has been received. Please allow 2–3 business days for processing. The transfer must be received within 7 business days of the order date. If payment is not received within this period, we reserve the right to withdraw from the purchase agreement.
USDC (USD Coin): We accept USDC payments via Shopify Payments on the Base network. The USDC amount paid is automatically converted into euros and credited to your purchase—without additional exchange fees. Please note that customers must hold USDC on the Base network. USDC on other networks (Ethereum, Solana, Polygon) must be bridged to Base before payment. Refunds for USDC payments are processed manually. Subscription payments are not possible with USDC.
Credit card: The credit card account will be charged when the order is completed. For all other payment options, the charge will be made in accordance with the terms of the respective provider.
Only one discount code may be redeemed per order. Splendido e.U. voucher codes cannot be used to purchase additional gift cards. Splendido e.U. is not liable for the loss, theft, or damage of gift cards. Multiple gift cards may be redeemed per order, with their value automatically deducted from the total amount. Any remaining balance may be paid using other available payment methods.
The deduction of a cash discount is permitted only by express written agreement. Online gift vouchers cannot generally be paid out in cash, either in full or in part.
§ 8 Retention of Title
The delivered goods remain the property of Splendido e.U. until the purchase price, including all ancillary costs, has been paid in full.
Before full transfer of ownership, pledging, transfer of ownership by way of security, processing, or alteration of the goods is not permitted without the express written consent of Splendido e.U.

§ 10 Warranty
All jewelry sold is covered by the statutory warranty. At the time of delivery, the jewelry is free from material defects and has the agreed characteristics. The warranty period is two years from delivery of the goods; claims may be asserted in court within a further three months (§ 933 ABGB).
If a defect exists, you may request repair or replacement — the choice is yours. This is free of charge for you, including return and outbound shipping. If both are impossible, involve disproportionate effort, or cannot be completed within a reasonable period, you may reduce the purchase price or withdraw from the contract (§ 932 ABGB). We will inform you of the expected process as soon as the jewelry is received.
The warranty does not cover damage caused by improper handling, lack of care, or normal wear and tear.
The presentation of products in the online shop may differ slightly from the actual appearance of the delivered goods, particularly with regard to color and size display on different screens.
§ 11 Applicable Law
The law of the Republic of Austria shall apply, excluding the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods (CISG). Mandatory consumer protection provisions of the country in which the consumer has their habitual residence remain unaffected by this choice of law.
§ 12 Place of Jurisdiction
For disputes arising from or in connection with this contract, the court with subject-matter jurisdiction in Graz, Austria, shall have jurisdiction to the extent permitted by law. For consumers domiciled in another EU Member State, the mandatory jurisdiction rules of the respective country shall apply.
§ 13 Miscellaneous

You have 30 days from receipt of the goods to declare your withdrawal. After declaring your withdrawal, you have a further 14 days to return the goods to us (§ 15 FAGG). Return shipping is free of charge for you (see § 6). Refunds are issued using the payment method selected for the order — by law within 14 days of receipt of your withdrawal declaration (§ 13 FAGG), and generally within 7 business days of receipt of your return.

We are not legally obliged to participate in dispute resolution proceedings before a consumer arbitration board, but we are generally willing to resolve disputes amicably and in the customer’s interest.
